IAJE sanctioning of all MSBOA Jazz Festivals. B. Coyle to status
this further, report back next Spring.
- B. Coyle noted that D. Naranjo has done a
tremendous job on
the website this past year.
D. Naranjo has established
relations with
national IAJE office regarding unit chapter assistance. They are
very encouraging and supportive of our needs. Increased frequency

is needed to facilitate communications with key decision-makers.

Reports on jazz education clinics and master classes were recommended
as possible feedback items, submitted by respective music department
directors
and/or student contacts.
- B. Nixon suggested making a connection with the Western
Michigan Jazz Society thru our website. Discussion ensued about
energizing other jazz communities including the northern Michigan
region.
B. Coyle thanked everyone present. Meeting adjourned at 2:00 p.m.
