KCH is arguably the most acoustically rich and serene listening room in Michigan for jazz.  Solo pianists and small trios-combos get maximum exposure, whether local acts or name headliners from New York, Europe, and beyond.  KCH also presents a rich and diverse performing arts series, including chamber music and solo concerts.  Each October KCH plays host to EdgeFest, a robust presentation in experimental and free form improvised music with no boundaries for both the performer and the attentive audience.  Many artists choose KCH as a choice venue for cutting live performances on CD.  Lots of KCH concerts get recorded and later air on NPR radio stations across the country.
